In October, 2000, WVCADV created a media kit full of documented statistics and information to use when working on domestic violence-related stories. To receive your free copy , click here. A "Community Action Kit" is also available. This guide was also developed in October, 2000, and has been sent to approximately 800 organizations in the state in an effort to educate the public about domestic violence. The kit also shows steps that communities can take to prevent domestic violence on the local level. This guide can also be ordered at no cost by clicking here. We also produce several other publications. Most of them can also be received by calling your local domestic violence program. (Click here to go to program contact information.) The WVCADV Central Service Office, located in Charleston, is available to assist you with research and serves as a link to national domestic violence organizations and information. Click here for domestic violence links. Your coverage of domestic violence related issues is crucial in bringing peace to West Virginia families. The West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence is always available to provide you with the facts about domestic violence. The WVCADV Central Service Office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. |
